The South Charleston Chamber of Commerce is for your benefit. We are a network of individuals, businesses, and government working together to promote and enhance businesses in the greater South Charleston area and throughout West Virginia.
The Chamber strives to seek out and welcome new businesses into the area and works to create business opportunities for local merchants by sponsoring major annual events. We work aggressively and cooperatively with city officials to create an atmosphere conducive to business by addressing the needs of both retailers and customers.
Our board meets monthly to determine a course of action for issues of concern. There are also several different committees on which any member of the Chamber may serve; these committees include Wellness, Public Awareness, Golf, and Marketing, among others.
The Chamber also sponsors several annual events. These include the Groundhog Breakfast and Economic Forecast, Annual 5k Wellness Run/Walk, and Business Expo. Business After Hours events are held regularly to provide informal networking for individuals and businesses. Also, informational seminars and workshops are held periodically and at discounts to members.
The Chamber also has an Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, which provides support for educational opportunities in the local area. The Chamber hosts annual fundraisers, such as the Annual Golf Tournament, to support the Educational Foundation.
